Life-Lab & Pond Habitat

We are proud to offer an outdoor learning space where TCK Scholars can experience the plants and ecosystems surrounding them. Our Life Lab and Pond Habitat, which are certified by the National Wildlife Federation, are located past our school playgrounds in an enclosed area. This area includes a variety of flowers, trees and plants near a greenhouse and a pond surrounded by a walkable path for visitors.

During the 2022-23 school year, our Leadership Team spent several weekends removing weeds and planting flowers to make the Life Lab more presentable for the public. With this work complete, students started visiting this educational garden during their 2023 summer school session for some lessons about our environment. 

We intend to continue offering interactive outdoor lessons in this area during the 2023-24 school year and beyond!
